Pet Loss Resources

Helpful guidance for a difficult time.

These resources are here to help families understand their options and take the next step after the loss of a beloved pet.

Understanding Your Cremation Options

Private Cremation

Your pet is cremated individually, with no other animals present. The cremated remains returned to your family are exclusively those of your pet.

Partitioned Cremation

Multiple pets may be cremated during the same cycle while remaining respectfully separated. The cremated remains are returned to the family.

Communal Cremation

Multiple pets are cremated together. Cremated remains are not returned. This option provides a dignified and economical choice for families who do not wish to receive ashes.

Transportation assistance may be available within 20 miles of our facility for an additional fee.

Helping Children Through the Loss of a Pet

For many children, the death of a pet may be their first experience with loss.

  • Use simple, honest language.
  • Encourage children to share memories.
  • Allow them to express sadness, anger, or confusion.
  • Consider creating a memorial, photo album, or special keepsake.
  • Reassure children that grief is a normal part of loving someone.

Many families find comfort in celebrating the joy and companionship their pet brought into their lives.
